Chemical in Red Wine Cuts Flu Risk

Now these are headlines I like to read!!  Who needs a flu shot??

Seriously....I read this article today in my new Wine Spectator.  According to a new study published in the American Journal of Physiology, strenuous exercise increases susceptibility to the flu.  The study, completed by researchers at the University of South Carolina, also stated that a chemical found abundantly in red wine, quercetin, helps protect against influenza, especially after a rigorous respiratory workout.

So the only conclusion I can draw is if you must workout, have a glass of red wine after.
